Guest Services Supervisor

We are currently looking to hire a Guest Service Supervisor. The Guest Services Supervisor (GSS) is a social and interactive position and is crucial in setting the tone for everyone who walks through our door. Our lobby environment leads the way for a guest’s experience and provides the always-important first impression. Working collaboratively with the Guest Services Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the front office team in our hotel. This individual will support and train the team in guest-related and room operations across shifts (day, afternoon, and night when needed). This role requires an individual who thrives on working rotational shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Guest Services Manager or designate, you will:

  • Ensure smooth operation of Guest Services in the absence of the Guest Services Manager.
  • Act as a role model in service standards.
  • Supervise guest registration and check-out, including processing payments and supporting team members.
  • Support training on systems, security, cash handling, and service standards.
  • Encourage teamwork and quality service through communication with other departments such as Accounting, Revenue Management, Sales, Food and Beverage, Housekeeping, and Maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate room status information and communicate it properly.
  • Resolve guest issues efficiently and courteously.
  • Assist with scheduling, payroll, coaching, performance management, hiring, and training.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations; report unsafe acts or hazards.
  • Lead health and safety initiatives, report incidents, and participate in safety plans.
  • Perform other duties, including assisting team members during peak times.
What We Are Looking For
  • Previous supervisory experience in customer-facing or hospitality roles preferred.
  • Highly interpersonal, comfortable engaging with guests, visitors, vendors, and team members.
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintaining composure and objectivity.
  • Team-oriented with good communication skills.
  • Proficient in property management systems like Opera and Maestro, and MS Office.
  • Flexible with shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
