Dual Front Office & Housekeeping Supervisor

We are currently hiring a Dual Front Office & Housekeeping Supervisor. This role is social and interactive, setting the tone for guests' experiences and first impressions. The individual will support and train the team in guest services and room operations across shifts, and oversee housekeeping and laundry departments, ensuring cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas. The candidate should be a motivating leader with a flair for style and design, working collaboratively with the Front Office and Housekeeping Managers to support daily operations. The role requires flexibility to work rotational shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Guest Services and Housekeeping Managers, responsibilities include:

  1. Ensuring smooth front office and housekeeping operations in the absence of managers
  2. Modeling service standards and enforcing policies
  3. Motivating and mentoring staff
  4. Identifying training needs and providing training
  5. Managing budgets and expenses
  6. Overseeing guest registration, check-out, and payments
  7. Training staff on systems, security, and service standards
  8. Promoting teamwork and coordination across departments
  9. Maintaining accurate room status and resolving guest issues efficiently
  10. Ensuring confidentiality and security
  11. Developing cleaning standards and inspection programs
  12. Managing scheduling, payroll, performance, and hiring
  13. Adhering to health and safety regulations
  14. Participating in safety and emergency procedures
  15. Performing additional duties as needed
Qualifications
  • Supervisory experience in hospitality or related field preferred
  • Post-secondary education in Tourism or Hospitality is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and physical endurance
  • Proficiency in property management systems (Opera, Maestro) and MS Office
  • Experience in financial management and working in unionized environments is an asset
  • Positive attitude and flexible availability for shifts
