Job summary

LandSea is hiring for guest services on the MV Isabelle Floatel in Squamish, BC. You will welcome residents and guests, handle check-in/out, manage cabin reservations, and assist with guest logistics and concierge services.

The role requires hospitality experience, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. On-site meals, accommodation, health benefits, and potential travel support are offered.

Qualifications

  • Experience in hospitality, customer service, or front desk operations preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hotel property management systems (Nomadis, Opera, Cloudbeds or similar) is an advantage.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome residents, visitors, and clients with a warm, professional, and service-oriented attitude.
  • Perform resident check-in and check-out procedures, including room assignments, key card management, and orientation to vessel facilities.
  • Manage cabin reservations, occupancy changes, transfers, and departures using the property's management system.
  • Respond promptly to phone calls, emails, radio communications, and guest inquiries.
  • Provide accurate information regarding vessel services, amenities, meal schedules, transportation, safety procedures, and site operations.
  • Handle resident requests, concerns, complaints, and special accommodation needs professionally, escalating issues when appropriate.
  • Operate and maintain the Floatel Commissary/Store, including processing sales, restocking merchandise, maintaining inventory levels, receiving deliveries, conducting inventory counts, and ensuring accurate inventory records.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping, Galley, Laundry, Maintenance, Marine Operations, Security, and other departments to ensure a high standard of resident service and satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate resident records, reports, and documentation using the property's management system and other operational software.
  • Assist with transportation coordination, vessel arrivals and departures, luggage handling, and general guest logistics.
  • Assist with concierge-style services, including providing local information, transportation assistance, and coordinating special requests where applicable.
  • Assist with receiving, sorting, and distributing mail, parcels, and deliveries as required.
  • Ensure the Guest Services office, reception area, lobby, and commissary remain clean, organized, stocked, and welcoming at all times.
  • Follow all company policies, client requirements, health and safety procedures, security protocols, and emergency response procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support Guest Services and the overall operation of the Floatel.

Job description

LandSea will be providing workforce catering and accommodation services for guests onboard the MV Isabelle, a 650-passenger “Floatel”.

At work, the crew is provided with accommodation, full meals, and WIFI, and can access health/gym facilities when off work. We provide partial uniforms and help with the travel/reservations as needed to and from locations. Excellent Health and Wellness benefits are being offered.

  • Wages starting between $21.00 to $22.00 per hour to start
  • Overtime pay
  • Schedule: 10-hour or 12-hour shifts depending on operational needs
  • Rotation: 4 weeks on and 2 weeks off
