Jake’s Grill & Oyster House in Burlington, ON, is seeking a full-time Server to join our busy dining room. You’ll deliver excellent service, take orders, suggest pairings, and work closely with the kitchen and bartenders to ensure a memorable guest experience.

Experience preferred; Smart Serve certificate valued.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Server or Bartender in a restaurant.
• Smart Serve certification.
• Knowledge of wine and beverages.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible availability for days, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide attentive service.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders.
• Deliver food and drinks promptly and accurately.
• Recommend appetizers, meals, beverages, and specials.
• Learn the menu and confidently answer guest questions.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on food, wine, and beverages.
• Work closely with the kitchen, bartenders, and management.
• Address guest questions or concerns quickly and professionally.
• Help set and rearrange tables for larger parties.
• Work as part of a team to keep service running smoothly.
