Bass Pro Shops in Nanaimo is hiring for a Front End-Receiving, Cashiers role. You will greet customers, process payments, and explain Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s services to deliver a legendary guest experience at the checkout.

Qualifications include a year (or more) of sales/service experience, High School diploma, and a passion for outdoor lifestyle. Compensation starts at a competitive hourly rate with benefits and opportunities for advancement within a welcoming team.

Qualifications

• One or more years’ experience in a sales or service environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer’s expectations.
• Ability to use good judgment and logic.
• Experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle.
• Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s products is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage customers in a friendly and enthusiastic manner.
• Provide a legendary experience for every customer and promote Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s programs.
• Use Point-Of-Sale and Inventory (SAP) systems to complete transactions following policies, including ID checks.
• Process customer payments using debit, credit card, gift cards, and cash.
• Resolve customer issues by using good judgment and logic within the job scope.
• Assist asset protection with procedures including price checks and security devices.
• Assist in other store areas as needed.
• Perform opening and closing duties when necessary.
