Job summary
Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) seeks an Associate for Growth & Transition Capital to evaluate, structure, and execute financing transactions that support growth, ownership transitions, and M&A. You will perform investor-grade due diligence, financial analysis, and transaction assessments that contribute to the success of Canadian businesses and our Growth & Transition Capital portfolio.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in financial advisory, transaction services, or corporate finance.
- Experience performing financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting.
- Experience conducting due diligence for financing, investment, M&A or corporate finance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and with Capital IQ or similar platforms.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed financial analysis and financial modeling to support investment decisions.
- Conduct market research, industry analysis, benchmarking, and risk assessments.
- Review financing proposals for viability and alignment with credit standards.
- Conduct due diligence activities and support development of financing proposals.
- Monitor active Growth & Transition Capital accounts and manage client communications.
