Shakepay Inc. in Canada is looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join a cross-functional squad focused on growth. You will partner with engineering, design, marketing, and operations to identify opportunities, run experiments, and translate insights into measurable impact.

You will define KPIs, build predictive models, dashboards, and self-serve tools to improve acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization while maintaining high autonomy in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data science, growth analytics or related roles.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python with experimentation focus.
• Deep knowledge of causal inference, forecasting and KPI design.
• Ability to connect user behavior to business outcomes and work across teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineers, designers, marketing, and ops to improve acquisition, activation, retention and monetization.
• Collaborate to uncover growth opportunities and drive data-informed decisions.
• Champion experimentation and decision frameworks to ship quickly with confidence.
• Define KPIs and build dashboards and self-serve tools for visibility.
• Use statistical analysis, forecasting, and machine learning to understand user behavior.
• Analyze journey, lifecycle, funnels, and financial performance for high-leverage opportunities.
• Influence squad and company priorities with data-driven insights and ROI.
• Maintain a shared data layer and collaborate with the data team.
• Foster a culture of curiosity and evidence-based decision making.
