Job summary

Direct Travel is seeking a Corporate Travel Advisor to manage comprehensive travel arrangements for clients under company policies and preferred suppliers. You will handle domestic and international itineraries, interact with travelers and travel arrangers, and ensure policy compliance within a professional, cost-efficient framework.

The role requires 5+ years of travel planning experience, proficiency with Sabre and Amadeus, and strong ticketing knowledge.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience providing domestic and international travel arrangements.
  • Proficient with Sabre and Amadeus.
  • Strong knowledge of airline ticketing rules.
  • Fluent in English; French is preferred.
  • Excellent communication via email and phone.

Responsibilities

  • Complete domestic and international travel arrangements using corporate contracts.
  • Support multiple accounts and adhere to procedures.
  • Interact with travelers and travel arrangers; provide first-level support.
  • Ensure compliance with travel policies and preferred vendors.
  • Follow DT standards for service, etiquette, and escalation procedures.
  • Attend staff meetings and update on travel industry procedures.
  • Maintain positive relationships with colleagues and foster teamwork.
  • Office work may be required for home-based roles.

Job description

As a key member of the Operations Team, the Corporate Travel Advisor will be responsible for the successful completion of comprehensive, accurate , cost-effective travel arrangements for Direct Travel clients within company policies utilizing corporate contracts and preferred suppliers in an efficient and professional manner.

Responsibilities
  • Complete domestic and international travel arrangements for clients which may include air, hotel, ground transportation, rail and limos
  • Supports multiple accounts
  • Operates within detailed procedures
  • Interacts with travelers and travel arranger s and provides 1st level of support for customer service and technical issues
  • Ensures compliance of a client’s travel policy while utilizing DT preferred vendors
  • Adheres to DT standards in delivering customer service including phone and email etiquette, and follows prescribed customer service escalation procedure
  • Follows company standards regarding procedures, utilization of tools, productivity, accuracy of work, and attendance
  • Attend staff and training meetings for ongoing updates in travel industry and office procedures which may require you to work in the office if home based
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative working environment

Qualifications
  • 5 + years of experience providing domestic and international travel arrangements
  • High proficiency using Sabre and Amadeus
  • Bilingual in French is preferred
  • Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of airline ticketing rules and regulations
  • Proficient in producing lowest logical airfare within client’s policy
  • Understands international airfares and international ticketing
  • Proficient in Internet searches and online booking processes
  • Thorough working knowledge of exchanging, reissue of tickets
  • Must be able to thoroughly read, understand and follow client travel policies and guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills via email and phone
  • Ability to meet and exceed required performance standards
  • Accurate and detail oriented
  • Work well under pressure and can deal with change and adversity
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • Works well independently as well within a group
