Brandon University is seeking a Group Tutor - Sociology to support students in the Indigenous Peoples' Centre. This part-time Student Assistant IV role involves guiding students through course material, clarifying concepts, and helping prepare for exams, with a focus on fostering independent problem solving.

The position runs 5 hours per week, starting November 16, 2026, through April 26, 2027. Applicants must be Brandon University students, preferably majoring in Sociology (3rd year+).

Competenze

• Currently enrolled as a Brandon University student.
• Sociology major (3rd year or above) preferred.
• Strong communication and ability to work one-on-one or with a group.
• Able to help students develop problem-solving skills with enthusiasm.
• Patience and ability to relate to students with varying learning styles.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Experience as a group tutor at Indigenous Peoples' Centre is an asset.
