Job summary

Tidan LLC in Montreal is hiring a Sales & Marketing Manager to maximize revenues from the group segment. You will develop relationships with clients, structure pricing, and negotiate group contracts while liaising with partners to drive bookings.

You will report to the Director, Sales & Marketing and collaborate with the team to meet aggressive revenue targets in a dynamic hotel environment, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Salary: From $70,000 per year

Status : Full time

Acquired in 2018 by Tidan, this hotel is located in the heart of the Montreal metropolis. The Marriott Château Champlain is a 1-minute walk from the metro, accessible via an underground walkway adjacent to the Bell Centre. This iconic Montreal hotel was completely renovated in 2021, with 36 floors, 614 rooms, 13 suites, 25 meeting rooms and can accommodate up to 1,000 guests. Reporting to the Director, Sales & Marketing, as a member of the Sales & Marketing team, the Manager is responsible for maximizing revenues generated in the group segment. He/she will be responsible for handling requests from groups of 50 rooms or more.He/she will work closely with other managers to maximize sales and liaise with convention and meeting service managers.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain key business relationships and partnerships to increase company rates, volume and revenue.

• Follow-up on proposals and contracts.
• Strategically structure pricing for each category segment.
• Understand global market and economic trends.
• Work in collaboration with Marriott International (GSO) and business partners.

• 1-year sales experience is preferred

• Ability to meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
• Willingness to travel and availability evenings and weekends as needed.
