Join a high-impact product leadership team and take ownership of a core portfolio within a leading higher education technology platform. In this role, you will shape the long-term product vision and strategy for solutions used daily by millions of students and thousands of instructors. You will lead, mentor, and develop a team of Product Managers while driving innovation, execution, and measurable business outcomes. Working closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams, you will transform customer insights into impactful product experiences. You will also play a key role in exploring AI-powered solutions and emerging technologies to improve teaching and learning. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and hands‑on leader who thrives in fast‑paced environments, embraces ownership, and wants to make a meaningful impact on education at scale.

Accountabilities:

  • Product Strategy and Vision: Define, communicate, and champion the long‑term product vision, strategy, and roadmap for your portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer needs, and market opportunities.
  • Portfolio Ownership: Lead key product domains across the platform, identifying opportunities to strengthen product‑market fit, improve customer experiences, and build sustainable competitive advantages.
  • Strategic Business Planning: Develop compelling business cases supported by financial projections, ROI analysis, and strategic value assessments to guide product investments and priorities.
  • People Leadership and Development: Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Product Managers through regular one‑on‑one meetings, constructive feedback, career development, and clear performance expectations.
  • Execution and Delivery: Oversee the development and launch of high‑quality products across your portfolio, maintaining strong product management standards from ideation and validation through delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Technical Innovation: Use technical tools, data, SQL, APIs, business intelligence platforms, and AI‑assisted development technologies to validate hypotheses, build prototypes, and accelerate product discovery.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong partnerships with Engineering, Design, Data, Go‑to‑Market, Customer Success, and Marketing teams to align priorities and drive successful product outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Influence senior leaders and cross‑functional stakeholders through clear communication, sound judgment, and compelling product recommendations.
  • Customer Discovery and Validation: Conduct regular customer research, develop prototypes, recruit design partners, and establish pilot programs to test ideas and validate product opportunities.
  • Operational Excellence: Make timely decisions, balance value and risk, proactively resolve challenges, and ensure reliable delivery against critical deadlines, including fixed academic calendar milestones.
  • AI and Emerging Technologies: Identify and explore opportunities to integrate generative AI and other innovative technologies into product development and customer‑facing experiences.
  • Product Portfolio Integration: Where applicable, lead complex multi-product initiatives and integrations, ensuring interoperability and a cohesive product strategy across interconnected solutions.
Requirements:
  • Product Management Experience: At least 5 years of experience in product management, including a minimum of 1 year in a people management or leadership role.
  • People Management: Demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring, and developing Product Managers, including early‑career professionals, while fostering accountability and independent decision‑making.
  • Strategic Product Leadership: Proven ability to define product strategies, manage complex portfolios, identify market opportunities, and translate business objectives into actionable roadmaps.
  • Technical Fluency: Comfortable working with SQL, APIs, business intelligence tools, and AI technologies, with the ability to independently develop prototypes or validate technical hypotheses with minimal engineering support.
  • AI-Assisted Development: Hands‑on experience using AI‑powered development tools for professional or personal projects, including building prototypes and presenting functional demonstrations.
  • MCP Integrations: Experience building Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations.
  • Product Delivery: Strong track record of successfully launching complex, cross‑functional products on time and to high‑quality standards.
  • Business Acumen: Experience developing business cases, financial projections, ROI assessments, and investment recommendations.
  • Cross-Functional Influence: Proven ability to build relationships, align stakeholders, influence senior executives, and lead effectively without relying solely on formal authority.
  • Startup Mindset: Entrepreneurial approach, adaptability, initiative, and comfort working in fast‑paced environments alongside engineers, data scientists, and other technical professionals.
  • Execution and Accountability: Highly reliable, results‑oriented, and proactive, with a demonstrated ability to follow through on commitments and prevent important details from being overlooked.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to simplify complex topics, document decisions, and bring clarity to ambiguous situations.
  • Problem‑Solving: Strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to challenge assumptions constructively while remaining open to new perspectives.
  • Customer Focus: Passion for understanding customer needs, validating ideas through research, and delivering meaningful product improvements.

The following qualifications are considered strong assets:

  • Experience in EdTech, SaaS, or B2B2C business models.

  • Collaborative culture: Join a supportive, passionate team that values strong customer relationships, collaboration, and mutual success.
  • Performance‑driven leadership: Benefit from a management approach focused on professional growth, engagement, connection, and individual performance.
