City of St. Albert's Recreation & Parks department is hiring Group Fitness Instructors to lead a range of group classes for the community. Classes run during operational hours, typically 5:30 to 9:30, with pay ranging from $30 to $55 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.

Successful applicants will provide proof of credentials, hold current First Aid, and may have prior instruction experience. This term position ends December 31, with a possibility of extension.

Qualifications

• Certification in fitness instruction from Fitness Alberta or equivalent.
• Current Standard First Aid Certification.
• Experience in leading group fitness classes preferred.

The City of St. Albert is recruiting individuals to join our Recreation & Parks department as Group
Fitness Instructors to lead various group classes.

Hours of Work
Hours of work are determined by class times, which take place during operational hours of 5:30 -
9:30.

Term
This position has an end date of December 31, with a possibility of an extension.

Compensation

The wage ranges from $30 - $55 per hour based on qualifications and experience.

• Group Fitness Instructor $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
• Specialty Fitness Instructor $30 - $55 per hour

Requirements and qualifications

• 1 or more certifications is required: Fitness Alberta, but not limited to, as other equivalent or related certifications may be considered.
• Current Standard First Aid Certification.
• Preference will be given to those with prior instruction experience.
• Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.

We are looking for motivated and energetic individuals who have strong leadership and teaching abilities.
