YMCA of Southwestern Ontario is seeking a Group Fitness Instructor to lead classes at East Lambton (Watford) and Lambton Shores (Forest). The role emphasizes safety, energy, and participant engagement, with a variety of morning, daytime, and evening sessions.

Qualifications

• Relevant Group Exercise certification (an asset)
• Current First Aid and CPR
• Current and acceptable Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening is a condition of employment for all staff and volunteers
• YMCA vaccination requirement in place (note: suspension as of 2022)

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality group exercise instruction
• Generate positive experiences for each participant through excellent customer service
• Provide a safe environment that fosters a fun and enthusiastic atmosphere
• Arrive ten minutes prior to class and set up equipment
• Educate and motivate class participants
• Model movements safely and effectively
