Job description
About the Role

Are you a seasoned finance leader who thrives in entrepreneurial, fast-growing environments? This is a unique opportunity to step into a Group Controller role where you’ll oversee a diverse portfolio of consumer-focused businesses spanning retail, wholesale, food, and fitness — with operations in both Canada and the U.S.

Reporting directly to the Co-CEO, this is a hands-on yet strategic role where you’ll be a key business partner and trusted advisor. You’ll oversee a high-performing finance team, strengthen reporting and controls, and provide insights that drive growth across a diverse, entrepreneurial portfolio.

This is a unique opportunity to work directly with the Co-CEOs, shaping the finance function across brands in furniture & design, food & beverage, and boutique fitness — giving you broad exposure to B2B and B2C environments.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a dedicated accounting team.
  • Oversee full-cycle accounting, treasury, and consolidated reporting across multiple entities.
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, and performance insights for leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with ASPE and US GAAP.
  • Strengthen financial controls and risk management frameworks.
  • Partner with leadership on system implementations and business transformation initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
  • CPA designation with 7–10 years of progressive finance leadership experience.
  • Expertise in multi-entity, cross-border operations (Canada & U.S.).
  • Strong technical skills in financial reporting; proven US GAAP knowledge.
  • Background in distribution, retail, or e-commerce an asset.
  • Track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
Why Join Us?
  • Be the senior-most finance leader across multiple fast-growing brands.
  • Gain variety — wholesale, retail, Canada / U.S., food, and fitness all under one umbrella.
  • Work directly with founders / CEOs in a culture of entrepreneurship, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Lead a team, shape strategy, and help scale a business targeting exceptional growth and beyond.

If you’re a seasoned finance leader eager to take ownership and make an impact in a dynamic, growing environment, this role offers both challenge and reward.
