Job Description

The GB Implementation Team manages onboarding of new Group Benefits clients and oversees major plan changes through effective project management. They collaborate with clients, advisors, and internal teams to deliver value-added benefits and exceptional service.

Reporting to the Manager of GB Implementation, the Project Manager will join a team committed to providing outstanding client service. This role involves representing Sun Life professionally in client meetings and building strong relationships with clients, advisors, and sales teams.

Responsibilities

1. Define and manage project scope, preventing scope creep.
2. Create and maintain detailed project timelines with clear task assignments and deadlines.
3. Lead all project phases from initiation to completion, applying best practices in planning, scheduling, and risk management.
4. Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand client structures and requirements.
5. Proactively manage changes, risks, issues, and actions using appropriate tools.
6. Maintain relationships with clients and advisors to meet project expectations.
7. Provide regular and effective project updates to stakeholders through meetings and reports.
8. Lead and coordinate multi-site project teams, utilizing strong leadership and facilitation skills.
9. Represent Sun Life at finalist presentations.

Requirements for Success

• Bilingualism in French and English (oral and written) is required for Quebec due to frequent interactions.
• Experience with Group Benefits products, services, and systems.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience working with internal and external partners.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.

The salary range for this role is $58,000 to $97,000, depending on location and experience. Sun Life offers incentive plans based on performance, with additional details provided during the hiring process.
