Job summary

TELUS Health is seeking a Group annuity administrator to join our Retirement Consulting practice, administering DB pension plans and providing client-focused support. You’ll work with a nationwide team, handling member data, benefit calculations, and payments while maintaining documentation and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Business/Mathematics/Finance/Actuarial Science or related field.
  • 0–2 years of Defined Benefit or Defined Contribution pension administration experience.
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail are essential.
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; French is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Process and manage a variety of transactional activities, including member data updates and benefit calculations and payments.
  • Respond to general queries from clients, members, and team.
  • Assist with day-to-day requests and instructions.
  • Identify, research and resolve data discrepancies.
  • Develop and maintain checklists and procedures.
  • Take direction from and support senior team members.
  • Support the team with various mandates and special projects.

The Group annuity administrator will work within a team that to provide quality client-focused administrative services for our Corporate clients. Our administration system is a robust recordkeeping platform that supports membership database updates, and provides electronic data interfaces, calculations, and transactions.

What You’ll Do
  • Efficiently and accurately, process and manage a variety of transactional activities, including but not limited to member data updates and processing benefit calculations and payments
  • Respond to general queries from our client, members and team
  • Assist with day-to-day requests and instructions received

  • Develop and maintain checklists and procedures

What You Bring
  • Post-secondary education (preferably in Business, Mathematics, Finance, Actuarial Science) or another relevant field of study
  • 0-2 years of Defined Benefit or Defined Contribution pension administration experience
  • Sharp analytical thinking and attention to details
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Dedicated team player who demonstrates initiative and independence
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; French would be an asset
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Salary Range

$39,900 - $74,100 CAD Annual

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience.
