Davey Tree Expert Co. of Canada, Limited in Burlington, Ontario is seeking a Groundsperson to support trimming operations and site setup, assisting climbers and trimmers, with training and career advancement opportunities.

This full-time, year-round, on-site position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and hands-on learning, with compensation of $18–$22 per hour and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Valid provincial driver’s license and license to drive a 5-ton vehicle is an asset.
• Willingness to work toward becoming a certified arborist.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Landscape/horticulture experience is an asset.
• Ability to work safely as part of a team and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Groundwork support for trimming operations.
• Chainsaw and chipper operation/loading brush.
• Assist Crew leader in job-site setup, debris removal, cleanup and equipment maintenance.
• Abide by industry safety policies and procedures.
• Raking up/ leaf blowing job sites.
