CFMWS in Canada is seeking a Groundsperson to steward our golf operations, maintaining greens, fairways, and flowerbeds with pride.

You will perform landscaping tasks, assist in turf treatment and irrigation, and help train new team members while upholding the highest safety standards. This on-site role supports our mission to provide well-being programs for CAF members and their families.

Qualifications

• Experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance.
• Experience operating turf care equipment.
• English required; bilingual an asset.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Join our team as a Groundsperson, where you will be the steward of our acclaimed military golf operations. With your keen eye and expert care, you will preserve the beauty of our golf course, from vibrant greens and fairways to meticulously maintained flowerbeds.

Your versatile role will include everything from horticulture and landscaping to assisting in the repair and construction of course features. Under guidance, you will also aid in turf treatment and irrigation system operation. Your commitment to detail will ensure all our structures, equipment and surrounding areas remain in pristine condition.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses

• High school diploma
• Valid Provincial Pesticide Applicator License
• A valid Driver’s License in Alberta

Experience

• In landscaping or grounds maintenance
• In operating specialized turf care equipment

• Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

English Essential / Bilingual (English and French) an Asset

• Perform moderate lifting, carrying, pulling and/or pushing (i.e. more than 10 lbs/4.5 kg but less than 50 lbs/23 kg).
• This is an on-site position with an assigned work location.
• This temporary employment is expected to end on November 1, 2026.
