Position Overview

As a Groundsperson, you will support tree care operations by assisting with site setup, supporting climbers and trimmers, and contributing to team efforts. This role offers newcomers a chance to learn about the industry, with opportunities for career growth and training at Davey.

Job Duties

• Support groundwork for trimming operations.
• Operate chainsaws and chippers; load brush.
• Assist crew leader with site setup, debris removal, cleanup, and equipment maintenance.
• Follow industry safety policies and procedures.
• Perform site cleanup, including raking and leaf blowing.

Qualifications

• Valid provincial driver’s license; licensed to drive a 5-ton vehicle; air brake endorsement is an asset.
• Ability to drive a standard transmission is an asset.
• Willingness to become a certified arborist.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Experience in landscaping or horticulture is an asset.
• Ability to work safely in a team, with a willingness to learn and grow.
