PAL Airlines is seeking a Ground Operations Manager to lead Montréal base, ensuring safe, efficient operations and a positive customer and employee experience.

This hands-on, fast-paced role requires strong leadership, safety culture, and collaboration with Flight Operations, Maintenance, System Operations Control, and regulatory bodies.

You will develop teams, manage schedules, monitor KPIs, and ensure compliance with Transport Canada and airport procedures.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5 years of leadership in airport operations or related field.
• Strong knowledge of ground operations, customer service, and safety principles.
• Experience leading both unionized and non-unionized teams is an asset.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency with operational reporting and workforce planning.
• Bilingual French and English required.

Aufgaben

• Lead all day-to-day ground operations at Montréal base including passenger services, ramp ops, baggage handling, and vendor performance.
• Ensure flights are supported safely, efficiently and per schedules and standards.
• Monitor performance and implement initiatives to improve operations, service, and on-time performance.
• Collaborate with Flight Ops, Maintenance, SOC, and other stakeholders for safe movement of aircraft and passengers.
• Ensure compliance with Transport Canada and applicable regulations.
• Establish work schedules and procedures for tow and commissary teams; coordinate with other departments.
• Produce and verify towing staff time sheets.
• Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop frontline leaders and staff.
• Manage budgets, resources, and cost-control initiatives; report station performance.
• Deliver consistent, positive customer experiences and resolve service disruptions.
