Cargojet, Canada's leading provider of time-sensitive overnight air cargo services, is seeking a Ground Handler. Join a diverse and vibrant team dedicated to excellence in air cargo logistics.

Primary Objective

Ensure the safe and timely processing of cargo, including aircraft loading and offloading within prescribed parameters.

Essential Responsibilities

• Load and unload aircraft and trucks efficiently.
• Lift packages weighing up to 60 lbs repeatedly.
• Sort packages based on destination, customer, and other parameters.
• Communicate piece counts and package details to supervisors.
• Handle customer packages with care and attention.
• Adhere to safety and security protocols.
• Perform housekeeping duties as needed.
• Manage Dangerous Goods handling and acceptance.
• Meet deadlines for freight build-up and breakdown as part of a team.
• Complete required training modules (WHMIS, SMS, Dangerous Goods, etc.).
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions and around aircraft daily.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain a Transport Canada Security Clearance (RAIC pass).
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs repeatedly.
• Ability to work in a team and meet time-sensitive goals.
• Punctuality and good attendance.
• Quick learner with adaptability to changing requirements.
• Effective communication skills.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Willing to undergo a background check.
• Comfortable working outdoors.
