Job summary

Executive Aviation is hiring Ground Handlers for our Castlegar Below the Wing team at the Castlegar Airport (YCG). This role reports to a Shift Lead who supports you and helps ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Personal flexibility to work shift work including early mornings, days, late evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
• Must be able to stand, lift, bend, crouch, kneel and push/pull for extended periods.
• A physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs/32kgs.
• Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather.
• Must wear safety gear: steel toe boots, reflective vest, and hearing protection.
• Restrictions: Transport Canada issued Restricted Area pass; criminal background check; BC driver’s license with clear abstract.

Responsibilities

• Ensure airline procedures are followed per Transport Canada rules/regulations.
• Drive and operate ground service equipment.
• Marshall/wing-walk aircraft to gate.
• Sort, load and offload guest baggage per load plan.
• Deliver guest baggage to claim area and unload onto conveyor system.
• Service aircraft water and lavatories.
• Inspect ramp areas for debris and remove when found.
• Groom aircraft – clean cabin, galleys, lavatories, restock supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Deliver guest baggage to claim area and unload onto conveyor system
• Service aircraft water and lavatories
• Inspect ramp areas for debris and remove/dispose of when found
• Grooms aircraft - clean whole cabin, galleys, lavatories, restock lavatory with supplies
• Other duties as assigned

  • Hold a valid BC driver's license with a clear drivers abstract
