Job summary

Sobeys is seeking a Grocery Clerk at an independently owned Sobeys banner location in Ontario. The role delivers exceptional customer service, processes orders, maintains shelves, and supports both front-end and back-of-house operations.

You should be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, communicate clearly, lift up to 20 lbs, stand for long periods, and follow safety protocols. Training and growth opportunities are available across our network.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Above average communication skills (oral and written).
• May be required to lift to 20lbs, stand for long periods, and complete physical work including bending, lifting, and reaching.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety, corporate policies, and other programs and initiatives
• Order, receive, and merchandise stock in accordance with company inventory control procedures, as required
• Provide superior customer service to meet customer needs
• Increase store sales by actively promoting featured products
• Perform back shop and retail floor maintenance, keeping work area clean and presentable as per Company requirements
• Prep Customer orders, as required
• Process department shrink, as required
• Participate in the training of junior staff
• Other duties as required
