Job summary

Sobeys Inc. is hiring a store clerk for our Fort Frances location. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, scanning items, handling payments, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

You will balance cash, meet productivity targets, and support daily operations while ensuring safety and food hygiene standards are met. This position offers a path within a large Canadian banner family.

Responsibilities

• Enter and/or scan the item(s) selected by the customer.
• Ensure entered/scanned prices are accurate, and cancel transactions according to established standards.
• Handle cash and other payment methods (debit cards, cheques, etc.) and make deposits according to established policies.
• Balance the cash register.
• Meet productivity standards (sales/hour, entries/minute).
• Provide exceptional and attentive customer service.
• Bag items according to established standards.
• Keep work areas and uniform clean and well-maintained.
• Use equipment and supplies in a safe and efficient manner.
• Comply with established food safety and hygiene standards.
• Perform any other related duties.
