Job summary

Nature's Fare Markets is seeking a Grocery Team Member to help customers, stock shelves, and create attractive displays in a friendly, fast-paced environment. You will greet customers, answer product questions, and learn about featured items from our flyers and magaziness.

The role emphasizes a passion for local, organic and sustainable food, teamwork, and excellent communication in a BC-based company that values employee growth and fun. Daytime and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required or preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly as they enter the department.
• Assist customers with product questions and suggestions.
• Stock shelves throughout the day for easy access by customers.
• Create attractive and organized displays with creativity and attention to detail.
• Learn about new and featured products through Nature’s Fare’s materials.
• Be a helpful, safe, and collaborative team member who enjoys the work.

GROCERY TEAM MEMBER

As part of one of our largest and most diverse departments, our Grocery Team Members are passionate about local, organic and sustainable food. You like helping others choose products that work best for their health and lifestyle, and you are eager to learn and try new products so you are confident in the information you are sharing! This role also keeps our shelves stocked and looking amazing through building creative displays.

Regular Store Hours:

Mon – Sat 8:00am – 8:00pm
Sun 9:00am – 7:00pm

* Must have daytime and weekend availability and the flexibility to work when required - will be scheduled approximately 24 hours per week *

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Give a warm “hello!” to our customers as they enter the department – we like building connections with our new and regular customers and sharing a laugh along the way.
• Assist customers with questions they may have about products we and give suggestions based on their needs (don’t worry, we will train you on this!)
• Work with your team to stock shelves throughout the day so it is easily accessible for customers when they need it.
• Use your creativity and eye for detail to make attractive and organized displays.
• Learn about new products and featured products that are on sale through Nature’s Fare’s flyers and magazines.
• In other words, you will help others, share your knowledge on our amazing products, be safe, be a great team player and have fun!

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Experience in grocery and/or retail environment is preferred but not needed
• Experience in a customer service role is needed
• A passion for local, organic and sustainable food and natural supplements
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong work ethic and desire to contribute to people’s health and wellbeing
• Ability to work in an energetic, fast-paced environment
• Like to have fun!
