Job summary

Kibbi is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor for a supermarket setting in Ontario. You will direct and evaluate daily operations, plan budgets, manage staff, and ensure customer satisfaction within a fast-paced retail environment.

Your role includes recruiting and training staff, negotiating with suppliers, developing marketing strategies, and monitoring revenues and expenses while adapting to market trends and consumer demand.

Qualifications

• Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
• Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Direct and control daily operations.
• Evaluate daily operations.
• Plan and organize daily operations.
• Manage staff and assign duties.
• Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors' operations on sales.
• Determine merchandise and services to be sold.
• Implement price and credits policies.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies.
• Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses.
• Determine staffing requirements.
• Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages.
• Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers.
• Conduct performance reviews.
• Negotiate with suppliers for the provision of materials and supplies.
• Hire and train staff.
• Develop and implement marketing and advertising and sales strategies.
• Evaluate customer service and store environments.
