Job summary

Fairway Market in Victoria, BC is seeking a Grocery Clerk who is self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills. This permanent, full-time role requires availability for mornings, days, evenings and nights, including weekends, on a shift basis with overtime.

The successful candidate will bag and box purchases, assist customers to their vehicles, stock shelves, and operate the cash register while maintaining a clean, organized store environment.

Responsibilities

• Record incoming stock and stock shelves and displays.
• Maintain clean and orderly stock and general areas.
• Operate a cash register and provide excellent customer service.

• The candidate must bag, box, or parcel purchases for customers, for shipment or delivery.
• The candidate will be responsible for carrying customer purchases to the parking lot and packing orders into customers’ vehicles.
• The candidate will be responsible for obtaining items from the stockroom or shelves for customers.
• The candidate must direct customers to the location of the desired articles.
• The candidate must unpack products received from the store and count, weigh, or sort items.
• The candidate will be responsible for recording incoming stock.
• The candidate must stock shelves and display areas.
