Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a Grocery Associate in Nova Scotia to deliver excellent customer service, keep the grocery area clean and organized, and support stocking and sales activities. You will help ensure the store is ready for customers and contribute to a dependable shopping experience.

The role includes maintaining department standards, rotating stock, accurate pricing and labeling, food safety practices, and safe work procedures, with shifts that may include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Age – 16 or older

Responsibilities

• Keeps the grocery department clean, organized, and properly zoned to be customer-ready at all times.
• Rotates merchandise regularly and removes expired or damaged products to maintain freshness and quality.
• Ensures merchandise is correctly signed and priced and follows procedures for ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, signing, flagging, pricing, and labeling.
• Follows food safety, handling, sanitation, and cleaning procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.
• Ensures the department is fully stocked and ready for business by stocking merchandise and picks, completing downstocking as required, applying product protection, and setting modulars.
• Follows all Health and Safety guidelines and Company policies to maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free workplace.
