Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a Grocery Associate in Digby, NS to deliver excellent customer service by upholding Walmart's values, keeping the grocery area clean, organized, and well zoned, and supporting stocking and sales activities. You will rotate stock, ensure items are signed and priced, follow food safety and sanitation rules, and maintain modulars and shelves to keep the store ready for customers.

This role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with physical tasks

Responsibilities

• Keeps the grocery department clean, organized, and properly zoned to ensure it is customer-ready at all times.
• Rotates merchandise regularly and removes expired or damaged products to maintain freshness and quality.
• Ensures merchandise is correctly signed and priced. Follows established procedures for ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, signing, flagging, pricing, and labeling.
• Follows food safety, handling, sanitation, and cleaning procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.
• Ensures the department is fully stocked and ready for business by stocking merchandise and picks, completing downstocking as required, applying product protection when needed, and setting and completing modulars, including flex modulars and new shelf caps.
• Follows all Health and Safety guidelines and Company policies to maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free workplace.
• Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
• Manages overnight hours effectively and planning accordingly to stay energized and focused.
• Performs physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting inventory, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
