Job summary

Walmart Canada in Lachute, QC is seeking a Grocery Associate to deliver friendly service and keep the grocery area clean, organized and ready for customers. This role involves supporting restocking, shelf setup, and seasonal merchandising, with flexibility for evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Keeps the grocery department clean, organized, and properly zoned to ensure it is customer-ready at all times.
• Rotates merchandise regularly and removes expired or damaged products to maintain freshness and quality.
• Ensures merchandise is correctly signed and priced. Follows established procedures for ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, signing, flagging, pricing, and labeling.
• Follows food safety, handling, sanitation, and cleaning procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.
• Ensures the department is fully stocked and ready for business by stocking merchandise and picks, completing downstocking as required, applying product protection when needed, and setting and completing modulars, including flex modulars and new shelf caps.
• Follows all Health and Safety guidelines and Company policies to maintain a safe, clean, and hazard‑free workplace.
• Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Your adaptability helps ensure the store runs smoothly and customers receive consistent, high-quality service.
• High Task Volume in a Fast-Paced Environment: Manages overnight hours effectively and planning accordingly to stay energized and focused.
• Physical Demands: Stands for extended periods, lifts up to 50 lbs occasionally, and performs stocking and stocking-related tasks with attention to detail.
