Job summary

CPM Holdings, Inc. is seeking a grinders operator to keep a cell of grinders set up and running in a safety-conscious manufacturing environment.

You will be responsible for setting up, dressing the wheel, running jobs, inspecting parts, and recording required paperwork. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with 1–2 years related experience, a good mechanical aptitude, basic blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge, and the ability to work independently or in a team while following

Qualifications

• High School education and 1-2 years of related experience preferable.
• Understanding of precision manufacturing tools and their proper use.
• Good mathematical skills and ability to read measurements to thousandths of an inch.
• Knowledge of GD&T symbols and tolerancing along with basic blueprint reading.
• Ability and willingness to follow directions and work independently.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Positive attitude and the ability to work in a team-driven environment.
• Understanding how to use a micrometer, caliper, and measuring tape as assets.
• Understanding how to use an overhead crane with lifting devices such as slings, chains and magnets as assets.

Responsibilities

• Setup and run grinders including dressing the wheel.
• Examine materials to ensure conformance to established standards.
• Perform minor equipment maintenance.
• Comply with standards and procedures.
• Complete required paperwork as necessary.
• Keep up on consumables and other fixturing requirements.
• Operating multiple machines simultaneously.
