Qualifications

• Experience in performing various cleaning, housekeeping and maintenance activities in an institutionalized environment.
• Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS.
• Ability to lift, push and pull heavy items and climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors by sweeping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Dry/wet mop and polish hard surface floors; operate scrubbers where required.
• Transport garbage and supplies; load/unload materials as needed.
• Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage.
• Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
