This Entry level Graphic Packaging -Digital Proofing Operator produces an accurate copy of artwork (contract proof) for print or pre-media prior to final production using industry standard proofing equipment and/or software. Under direct supervision from the client project team or management produces on time, high quality traditional physical proofs of client Production deliverable artwork (images, texts, illustrations, and/or colors) following established workflows, and client work order specifications.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Attends any client meetings (e.g. pre-production) as necessary.
• Ensures high quality standards in all Production client deliverables.
• Ensures accurate, consistent, and timely completion of high quality basic to intermediate level Artwork proofing materials, effectively using industry standard software, tools, and Pre-press and Print techniques.
• Prepares files to send to the Raster Image Processor (RIP).
• Performs assigned tasks within the overall Production workflow and assigned budget, according to work order specifications, industry and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), and the client’s Brand guidelines and standards.
• Ensures client project team has most current information about the status of the assigned project(s) by logging and maintaining in project tracking system accurate records of project plan (sub-project or task) information, time dedicated to specific project(s) and/or quality issues.
• Meets quality standards consistently for all assigned deliverables and makes recommendations to Management for improvements in reports, tools, processes and assigned tasks.
• Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Arts or related field
• 3+ years of previous experience in a digital or traditional Pre-press environment, Graphic Arts industry, Design Studio/Agency or related manufacturing field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
• Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
• Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
• Ability to work overtime as necessary.
