Job summary

Kibbi in Edmonton, Canada, is seeking a graphic designer to supervise 1–2 designers and contribute to creating compelling illustrations and layouts for client projects. You will estimate timelines, collaborate on storyboards, and ensure visuals meet client objectives.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced printing/design environment on-site at our facility.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising 1–2 graphic designers or technicians.
• Ability to estimate time for graphic designs and illustrations.
• Assist in developing storyboards for multimedia productions.
• Consult with clients to determine illustration needs and content.

Responsibilities

• Supervise other graphic designers or graphic arts technicians.
• Estimate time to complete graphic designs and illustrations.
• Assist in developing storyboards for electronic productions such as multimedia, interactive and digital products and television advertising and productions.
• Consult with clients to determine the nature and content of illustrations in order to meet their communications needs.
• Develop and produce realistic or representational sketches and final illustrations.
• Work in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Consult with clients to establish the overall look, graphic elements and content of communications materials.
• Develop the graphic elements that meet the clients' objectives.
• Establish guidelines for illustrators or photographers.
• Prepare sketches, layouts and graphic elements.
• Use existing photo and illustration banks and typography guides.
• Process files and paperwork.
