Job summary

University Hospital Foundation is seeking a Funding Officer to manage the full funding lifecycle, analyze outcomes, and support data-driven decisions that maximize donor impact within Alberta’s health system. Qualifications

• Five to eight years of relevant experience in funding or grant administration.
• Experience in philanthropic grant management and donor stewardship would be an asset.
• Experience with grant management, CRM, or financial reporting systems.
• Experience in healthcare philanthropy or nonprofit environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Funding Planning & Decision Support: assess funding, project, and financial information to support funding recommendations and monitoring.
• Funding Administration & Oversight: manage the full funding lifecycle with accurate distributions and reporting.
• Impact, Outcomes & Evaluation: analyze project metrics and translate data into insights to inform decisions.
• Stewardship, Reporting & Communications: develop funding information for donor reporting and stakeholder materials.
• Funding Agreements & Compliance: administer agreements and ensure compliance across the lifecycle.
• Stakeholder Relationships: build relationships with applicants, funders, and internal teams.
• Continuous Improvement: identify opportunities to strengthen funding processes and data quality.
• Team Contribution: participate in diverse Funding Team activities.
