Job summary

Goodwill Industries Ontario Great Lakes is seeking a Specialist, Grant Writing to identify, research, develop, and submit funding proposals that advance Goodwill’s mission. You will work across the organization to create compelling submissions, manage funder requirements, and nurture relationships to secure resources.

The role requires strong writing and research skills, the ability to build relationships with funders, and a commitment to community impact as part of our diverse, inclusive team.

Qualifications

• Three to eight years of experience in grant writing, fund development, policy writing, or related field.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to tailor writing for different funders.

Responsibilities

• Research and assess funding opportunities from government, foundation, corporate, and community funders.
• Write high-quality grant applications, letters of intent, concept papers, and proposals.
• Maintain the grant calendar and funding pipeline with deadlines and reporting obligations.
• Collaborate with teams to gather information and supporting documentation for proposals.
• Prepare interim and final grant reports and track commitments and reporting requirements.
• Maintain Donor Management system data and support fund development activities.
