Job summary

Bartlett in Northgate, SK, is seeking a Grain Elevator Operator to receive, store, handle, blend and load grain, and monitor grain conditions for a safe operation.

You will maintain and clean grain facilities and equipment, with cross-training to cover a variety of tasks. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and English literacy.

The Basics

Location: Northgate, SK

Compensation: $24.00/hr and up

Days/Hours: This job has 2 shifts on a rotating basis; 6:30am-3pm and 1pm-9:30pm, Mon-Fri with overtime as needed. During harvest you can expect a lot of OT, including weekends.

Equipment Used: Various grain handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs

Material Handled: Bulk commodities: wheat, canola, oats

What You'll Be Doing

The duties of this hands-on job will include grain receiving, storage, handling, blending, and loading of grain; monitoring stored grain condition; and maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment for you and fellow Team Members. Grain Elevator Operators will be cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks.

Requirements To Be Successful In This Position

• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Available to work overtime and weekendsProfessional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• Able to pass a criminal background check
