McGill University's School of Computer Science seeks a part-time Teaching Assistant for COMP 558 - Fundamentals of Computer Vision, starting 2026-07-08 and ending 2026-12-04. The TA will support the instructor, run grading scripts, monitor discussions, and assist with exams in a bilingual environment in Montreal.

Responsibilities

effectively and timely communicate with the instructor and the students
maintain and observe office and/or lab hours
develop grading scripts for assignments and exams
grade assignments and exams under supervision
monitor the discussion board/emails
prepare solution sets for assignments
supervise students during midterms and quizzes
use software for plagiarism detection and verify similarities in students' work
be available during examination period
photocopy course notes and handouts
ensure confidentiality regarding course-related matters
respect and treat all students equally
