Job summary

Arup invites applications for an entry‑level BIM Designer to join our Toronto team. You will prepare architectural, civil and engineering drawings within a BIM environment, manage model and drawing information, and coordinate with disciplines.

You will learn and apply QA/QC protocols while supporting senior BIM Designers on projects and office BIM initiatives. You should have a degree in engineering/architectural technology, experience with Revit or AutoCAD, and familiarity with

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering/architectural technology or related field.
• Experience in Revit and/or AutoCAD.
• Experience in Microstation and/or Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of coordination tools: Navisworks, Revisto.
• Knowledge of collaboration tools: ACC, SharePoint, ProjectWise.
• Candidate must be eligible to work in Canada without the need for employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot problems that arise in a rapidly changing project environment.

• Develop software skills necessary to be successful in their project assignments.
• Project and team administrative duties.
• Supports senior BIM Designers on projects and office-wide BIM initiatives.

For this opportunity, we are seeking the following qualifications, skills and attributes:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering/architectural technology or related field
• Experience in Revit and/or AutoCAD
• Experience in Microstation and/or Civil 3D

• Certificate in BIM Management will be an asset
• Design portfolio will be an asset
• Knowledge in Dynamo, Rhino, Grasshopper, and other programming tool is an asset

• Knowledge of Bentley InRoads/OpenRoads
• Knowledge of ISO19650
• Previous experience in the AEC industry

Toronto Hiring Range – Hiring Range- The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performedin Toronto is $72,250 to $74,250 per year. This range iscommensuratewith experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Toronto will differ.
