Job summary

The School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay) invites applications for a Grade 3/4 Teacher at Steeples Elementary School in Cranbrook, BC. This is a 1.0 FTE temporary contract starting September 22, 2026, or until November 2, 2026, or until the incumbent returns.

Applicants must have a degree or formal training and teaching experience at the Primary level; BC Teacher Certification is preferred. All work will be on site.

Salary Range: The starting annual salary for this teaching position ranges from $70,392 to $118,611, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.

Terms and conditions pursuant to the Collective Agreement between the Cranbrook and Fernie Teachers' Association and School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay).

• Must have a degree/formal training and or teaching experience at the Primary level.
• Please note that all work will be on site.

• Please note: Continuing teachers will need to vacate their continuing assignment in order to accept a temporary assignment, unless the FTE is greater in the temporary job posting.
