Job summary

Glen Arbour Golf Course is seeking a Turf Maintenance, General Labourer to care for our Nova Scotia course and contribute to top playing conditions. The role involves outdoor work, operating greens and tees equipment, irrigation assistance, and daily bunkers grooming.

You’ll join a supportive team, gain hands‑on experience in turf care and course maintenance, and help uphold the course’s high standards. Applicants should be able to lift 50 lbs and work mornings and weekends in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.
• Previous experience in golf course maintenance, landscaping, groundskeeping, or outdoor labour is an asset.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs regularly and to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays in various weather conditions.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all playing surfaces (greens, tees, fairways, roughs) and landscaped areas.
• Prepare divot mixtures and fill divots on the driving range and course daily.
• Monitor irrigation needs and assist with irrigation system maintenance or repairs.
• Daily raking and grooming of sand bunkers to keep edges neat and surfaces smooth.
• Operate equipment such as green mowers, tee mowers, bunker rakes, and other tools.
• Maintain fuel levels for equipment and report problems to management.
• Assist with fertilizer and pesticide applications as needed.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policies and all course procedures.
• Ensure quality and attention to detail in all work performed.
