Description

Reporting to the Manager, Program Services, the position of Records Management Administrator is responsible for records management support and office administration support for the Complaint Resolution and Special Investigations & Inspections Unit.

The key responsibility of this position is to archive files/boxes, identify the records contained, and determine their disposition. This position also provides administrative support to the Employment Standards Director, Senior Office Administrator, Executive Director’s Office, and Employment Standards Counsellors. Responsibilities include file management, reception duties, answering telephones, greeting visitors, handling mail and courier tasks.

The secondary responsibility is to support Employment Standards Counsellors, including screening, triaging, and registering complaints.

Responsibilities and activities:
  1. File/Records management: assess contents, prepare inventory sheets, determine disposition, follow policies, locate and retrieve files, prepare files for archiving.
  2. General Office Support: filing, respond to inquiries, process mail.
