Job summary

Encoded Therapeutics is seeking a Facilities Supervisor to lead day-to-day facilities operations, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and coordinate with vendors and contractors. The role combines hands-on facility work with supervision of contract staff and management of maintenance programs, audits, and documentation.

You will partner with site functions to maintain safe, compliant, and reliable operations while overseeing EHS programs and waste handling.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities, utilities, and maintenance operations in GMP or regulated environments.
• Experience coordinating and supervising contractors, vendors, or small teams.
• Familiarity with EHS programs, regulated medical waste, and hazardous waste handling.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facility operations and maintenance, including GMP gowning, cleaning, waste management and compliance.
• Perform hands-on facility tasks, troubleshoot utilities and equipment, and conduct preventive maintenance.
• Own maintenance programs for facilities, utilities, and infrastructure; participate in capital planning.
• Represent Facilities in audits/inspections and manage documentation and follow-up.
• Supervise contractors and vendors to ensure safe, compliant service delivery within contracts.
• Coach and evaluate contract staff; ensure on-site coverage during day and off-hours.
• Oversee EHS programs, near miss/incident reporting, training, waste handling and PPE compliance.
• Manage regulated medical waste and hazardous waste handling, including manifests and records.
• Coordinate vendor service requests and ensure spend stays within budgets.
• Ensure GMP/documentation SOP adherence and support inspections/audits.
• Make independent operational decisions within guidelines and escalate when needed.
