Job summary

Walmart Canada in St. John’s, NL is seeking an Associate Manager to lead General Merchandise and Fashion departments. You will partner with the GM and Fashion Assistant Manager to deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring task completion and proper merchandising standards.

Responsibilities include directing daily tasks, coordinating scheduling, training associates, and maintaining a safe, clean store environment. Minimum age 16+, compensation starts at CAD 19.60 per hour.

Qualifications

• Provide excellent customer service and promote products/services.
• Assist in directing and coordinating department tasks as per priorities.
• Monitor department presentation and implement merchandising changes as needed.
• Support scheduling and coverage tasks to ensure operations flow smoothly.
• Train and develop General Merchandise and Fashion Associates.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent Customer Service by greeting customers and helping them with product selection.
• Assist in coordinating task completion per priorities from GM and Fashion Assistant Manager.
• Assess overall presentation of General Merchandise and Fashion Departments and make corrective changes.
• Delegate and follow up on daily Customer Availability Process tasks.
• Support with scheduling and coverage as needed.
• Assign associates to cover availability tasks across store areas.
• Participate in training and development of associates; provide feedback.
• Contribute to a safe, clean work environment and ensure displays/fixtures are secure.
