Job summary

Vialto is seeking a Senior Manager to guide a team of problem solvers on complex tax strategy and execution, serving as a trusted advisor to clients while leveraging global teams in policy, payroll, immigration and automation. The role focuses on reducing tax risk and delivering a comprehensive mobility program.

You will lead client engagements with a focus on tax, payroll, and mobility policy, while expanding the client portfolio and driving revenue growth in a hybrid role across Canada.

Qualifications

• Extensive Canadian & US tax knowledge and expatriate tax planning experience.
• Proven track record in growing revenue by addressing client needs and delivering value.
• Strong management of resources, budgets, and complex materials.
• Ability to lead teams, monitor workloads and maintain work-life balance.
• Experience with automation and digitization in professional services.
• Ability to develop pricing strategies and review contracts.
• Exposure to AI and emerging technologies in a global service environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach Vialto teams, recognizing strengths and development needs.
• Resolve issues to keep the team effective and on track.
• Analyze complex ideas or proposals and provide meaningful client recommendations.
• Use multiple information sources to develop solutions and recommendations.
• Review and sign tax returns for globally mobile employees within deadlines.
• Advise clients on tax, payroll, and global mobility policy.
• Collaborate with clients’ finance and HR teams to ensure accurate payroll tax reporting.
• Provide specialized tax advice on assignment structures and treaties.
• Stay informed on international tax laws and discuss changes with clients.
• Introduce clients to other service lines and collaborate with SMEs.
• Research country-specific tax issues where the organization operates.
• Help implement global mobility tax strategies to minimize liabilities.
• Identify new business prospects within existing client base.
• Expand client portfolio and drive revenue growth.
• Analyze market trends and competitive landscape for growth opportunities.
