Job summary

Vialto is seeking a Global Mobility Tax Manager to lead tax compliance and advisory for globally mobile employees across Canada and the US. You will manage cross-border tax issues, optimize processes, and collaborate with multinational teams to deliver efficient, compliant solutions.

Hybrid role based in Canada with in-office days; locations include Calgary, Toronto, Vancouver. Leadership experience and CPA/EA designation are valued as you guide clients through evolving tax landscapes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Canadian & US individual tax planning experience for employees.
• At least 1 year of people management experience, including resource allocation, project workflows, budgets, and billing.
• Experience with cross-border movement, foreign nationals and expatriates, foreign tax compliance, and tax equalization.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with a proactive attitude.
• Exposure to AI and emerging technologies; ability to leverage AI-enabled tools for efficiency and data-driven insights.
• US CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent designation.

Responsibilities

• Tax Compliance & Advisory: Review and sign tax returns for globally mobile employees, ensuring accuracy and deadlines.
• Collaboration & Employee Support: Oversee remote client project teams across global delivery centers for efficiency.
• Client & Business Development: Serve as primary client contact, guide business travelers, identify opportunities to grow relationships.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze compensation/payroll data, document tax optimization, maintain records, stay updated on international tax laws.
• Research & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Research international tax issues and work with SMEs to deliver integrated solutions.
