Job summary

CIBC in Toronto is seeking a Winter Analyst for an 8-month Global Markets role to deliver innovative banking and investment solutions to clients worldwide. You will gain exposure across cash, derivatives, and structured products while supporting senior professionals.

You must be enrolled in an undergraduate Commerce, Economics, STEM or related program with a graduation date no sooner than December 2027. The term runs January 2027 to August 2027 and requires you to be based in Canada.

Qualifications

• Passion for financial markets - Demonstrate strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills, with keen interest in the financial markets and proven record of academic success, teamwork and extracurricular involvement.
• Process oriented - Present detailed analysis, financial modeling, structuring, and research to support senior professionals.
• Communication - Apply technical skills to generate insights and explain complex concepts with strong written, oral and presentation skills.
• Relationship management - Provide excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to contribute to high-performance teams and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Gain experience across Wealth Solutions, Prime Services, Government Solutions, Fixed Income/Money Markets.
• Collaborate with team to deliver innovative banking and investment solutions for clients worldwide.
