Job summary

Manulife is seeking an AVP, Investor Relations to lead communications between the company and the investment community, including shareholders and analysts. The role involves quarterly reporting, development of investor materials, and execution of a global investor relations plan requiring travel.

The candidate will build relationships with senior management, participate in non-deal roadshows and investor days, and provide quarterly reports to the Board with shareholder analysis.

Qualifications

• Degree in finance/accounting/actuarial. CA, CFA, FSA or MBA is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated analytical capability and financial modeling experience.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment; prioritizing tasks to meet client demands & changing market conditions.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the proven ability to meet tight deadlines and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and well-developed relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and drafting of earnings press releases, slides and speaking notes for quarterly results.
• Collaborate with Finance and Media Relations to develop quarterly messaging and strategy.
• Review investor sentiment and communicate findings to senior management.
• Serve as primary contact for institutional shareholders and financial analysts.
• Review quarterly deliverables including fact sheets and analyst previews.
