Job summary

Cenovus Energy in Calgary is seeking a Team Lead, Treasury Intercompany Strategy to lead a team of treasury professionals and develop funding strategies for Cenovus’s global needs. You will oversee international intercompany lending structures and collaborate with Tax, Accounting and Legal to optimize funding and liquidity.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Tax or Treasury.
• Professional designation such as CPA, CFA, or CTP is an asset.
• Ability to influence stakeholders across Treasury, Tax, Legal and Accounting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement innovative funding strategies while overseeing international intercompany lending structures.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Tax, Accounting and Legal to optimize global funding structures.
• Provide day-to-day leadership and strategic direction to a team of analysts.
• Prepare and present recommendations to senior leadership and boards of Cenovus subsidiaries.
