Job summary

MineSense, based in Vancouver, BC, is seeking a Head of People to shape the global people strategy and operations, reporting to the CFO. The role partners with executives to link business priorities with leadership, culture, and organization design for sustainable growth.

You will lead People programs across our global organization, ensuring an exceptional employee experience while supporting teams in Vancouver, Santiago, Peru, and beyond. English required; Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or related field.
• 10–12+ years in People or HR, with 6–8+ years in leadership with executives.
• Breadth across talent, org design, total rewards, employee relations, and operations.
• Strong knowledge of employment standards, privacy, and workplace obligations.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and balance employee experience and business needs.
• English proficiency; Spanish is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and HR tech such as BambooHR is an asset.
• Legally able to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Shape and lead global people strategy and operating priorities.
• Advise executives on workforce, culture, and leadership matters.
• Oversee global talent practices: planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance, succession, retention, and offboarding.
• Drive leadership effectiveness, listening, and organizational development.
• Ensure fair compensation, benefits, and recognition aligned with market and performance.
• Champion an inclusive, high‑performing workplace and governance of People processes.
• Build scalable People operations across policies, data, records, and support.
• Manage vendor relationships and knowledge sharing across locations.
